OsmoLink | An AI-driven AR/VR Platform

The overarching aim is to develop a demonstrator system, underpinned by Artificial Intelligence (AI), that can envision the synthesis between osmotic communication and tacit knowledge in a virtual setting. Osmotic communication refers to the informal exchange of ideas, insights, and knowledge that occurs naturally when team members work in close proximity, while tacit knowledge is the expertise, intuition, and know-how that individuals possess but find challenging to articulate explicitly, including insights gained through experience, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking.

We propose to achieve this synthesis with OsmoLink, an AI-driven AR/VR platform that learns from historical project data and integrates osmotic communication by capturing tacit knowledge from daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives, hence optimising project management capabilities. Furthermore, creating a virtual environment that facilitates visualising the entire Games Development Software Engineering Process (GDSE) would allow relevant stakeholders to capture key knowledge, which would not have been possible in real-time.

OsmoLink will act as a catalyst to help clients take their businesses to new heights, leveraging on cutting-edge AI-driven AR/VR capabilitites to boost team performance and productivity in an innovative way, thereby transcending geographical boundaries to allow developers to participate in joint-sessions, as if they were physically co-located.

OsmoLink, KAMLA’s revolutionary AR/VR platform, will be able to achieve the following:
Analyse publicly available data sources to comprehensively understand issues and biases faced by users whilst synthesising osmotic communication and tacit knowledge in GDSE lifecycle, which would help us to uncover and identify key areas of tacit knowledge generation during GDSE process along with determining ways of inheriting such knowledge during osmotic communication;
Conduct a deeper investigation on how personality traits would affect assimilating tacit knowledge from osmotic communication by engaging with relevant stakeholders;
Develop personalised prediction models based on state-of-the-art machine learning and reinforcement learning methods to envision how a given user would synthesise osmotic communication and tacit knowledge;
Create a personalised AR/VR environment that would allow a given user to experience the entire GDSE process to realise opportunities to synthesise osmotic communication and tacit knowledge, ultimately to enhance their capabilities as such;
Prototype a demonstrator system that encompasses AI techniques and AR/VR engine to create personalised virtual experience for users to synthesise osmotic communication and tacit knowledge.
